Accountant — AME Experience RequiredPosition Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with AME experience to manage day-to-day accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and support the company’s financial reporting and internal controls.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently, and experienced in reviewing financial activity across multiple departments or business locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions using AME.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Complete bank, credit card, merchant account, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review invoices, purchase orders, payments, refunds, and expense reports.
- Prepare and post journal entries and month-end adjustments.
- Assist with payroll reconciliation and payroll-related accounting.
- Monitor cash flow, outstanding receivables, expenses, and vendor balances.
- Prepare profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, and management reports.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting.
- Work with management to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Communicate with vendors, banks, payroll providers, accountants, and other business partners.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience using AME is required.
- At least 3 years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and financial spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience handling accounting for multiple businesses or locations.
- Experience with payroll, sales tax, budgeting, and cash-flow reporting.
- Experience working directly with business owners or senior management.
- Hospitality, hotel, retail, or multi-property accounting experience is preferred.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional additional hours may be required during month-end closing, audits, or tax-reporting periods.

Competitive compensation based on accounting experience, AME proficiency, education, and qualifications.
