• Provides security and law enforcement presence at City School campuses and events and investigates crimes involving students.
• Serves as liaison between the Auburn Police Department, Auburn City Schools, and Juvenile Court.
• Testifies in school board hearings and court proceedings.
• Assists with safety planning for Auburn City School campuses and events.
• Conducts classes and speaks to various groups on relevant law enforcement subjects.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.

• Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
