Intern Operators are on a 12 hour shift, 2, 2, 3, rotation. Day Shift 6:45am - 7:00pm Night Shift: 6:45 pm - 7:00 am

Night shift earns a night differential of $3.00/hr for hours worked between 7pm and 7am. All shifts earn a weekend differential of $1.50/hr for Saturdays and Sundays in addition to base hourly rate.

Summary

Intern Operators are responsible to prepare materials, maintain the equipment and keep production areas clean at all times. The general laborers help in maintaining quality standards and works meticulously to keep the lines performing at optimal levels. Additionally, this role will cover machines to allow for breaks and occasionally cover shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Help with the installation, adjustments and disassembly of the machines and the equipment.

· Supply the machine with the necessary equipment (blades, inks, resin, etc.).

· Assist the operators during production.

· Clean the machine regularly

· Complete production reports according to the operators’ requests.

· Assist operators when repairing or checking faulty equipment.

· Maintain inventory of all materials used in the production process.

· Move materials and tools from one work area to another.

· Maintain cleanliness and safety in all departments.

· Execute all other related tasks as directed when needed.

· Manually or mechanically transport the raw materials, finished products and others in the factory.

· Use of production reporting system to ensure accuracy of data and labels.

· 5S and housekeeping

· Participate in continuous improvement projects.

· Expand knowledge on Print lines (and other equipment) through experience.

· Be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication and assisting each other during all steps of operation.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employees are required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
