Summary

ALTA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across a portfolio of residential apartment communities throughout San Francisco.

This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, appearance, and long-term performance of all assigned properties. The Regional Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate maintenance activities, oversee vendors and contractors, support capital projects, and implement preventative maintenance strategies designed to protect asset value and improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of multifamily building systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an opportunity to lead maintenance initiatives across a growing portfolio while helping shape operational standards and best practices throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations across multiple residential and mixed-use properties
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance, safety, and capital improvement needs
• Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality work and timely completion
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for building systems and common areas
• Manage maintenance-related capital projects, unit renovation programs, and building improvement initiatives
• Monitor property condition, curb appeal, and resident-facing maintenance concerns
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, reserve planning, and deferred maintenance recommendations
• Review vendor proposals, scopes of work, and project costs to ensure effective use of resources
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety requirements and company standards
• Maintain maintenance records, project documentation, compliance files, and operational reporting
• Support onboarding and operational integration of newly acquired properties
• Partner with Property Managers and Operations leadership to improve efficiency, resident satisfaction, and overall property performance

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of multifamily property maintenance experience
• Multi-site maintenance supervision experience preferred
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and capital improvement projects
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, life-safety systems, appliances, and general building maintenance
• Experience with Yardi, Yardi Breeze, Yardi Voyager, or similar property management software
• Ability to read plans, scopes of work, vendor proposals, and project specifications
• Valid California Driver's License and reliable vehicle for travel between properties
• Ability to provide and maintain personal hand tools
• EPA, HVAC, OSHA, CAMT, or other industry certifications preferred leadership truly makes an impact.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
