Job Purpose:
A loan assistant is responsible for uploading loan accounts for both new and existing customers, assisting loan officers in preparing loan documents, perfecting loan agreements and documents while following compliance regulations and operational procedures. To direct phone calls and foot traffic to the proper lending personnel. To acknowledge customers as they enter the lending area to be used as a layer of security. To work together with your loan assistant team in handling tasks and other responsibilities as they are assigned.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Ø Greeting customers as they enter the lending area.
Ø Lending
- Prepare loan documents for closings
- Closing/exporting loan accounts once signed and disburse funds
- Order services such as appraisals, evaluations, flood determination, title policy, Owners and Encumbrances report (O&E) and credit reports.
- Opening accounts for new and existing customers
- Maintenance of account/or peer review
- E Oscar for reporting errors
- Collecting/Reporting Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
- Phone related paperless entry transfers
- Process participation payments/advances
- Process payment and/or payoff requests and Line of Credit Advances
- Working with Farmer Mac, dairy assignments and SBA payment transmissions
- Full maintenance of loan file (virtual files)
- Process paid loans and return collateral to customer by preparing satisfaction of mortgages, release title liens, terminate UCC filings
Ø Answers phones in a timely manner (within 2 rings)
Ø Prefect collateral, record mortgages, UCC filings, vehicle titles.
Ø Insurance tracking & missing titles tracking- sending out letters
Ø Loan policy exception tracking
Ø Handling disputes in regard to loan payments
Ø Scanning and Filing of Account paperwork
Ø Mail duties
Ø Notary duties
Ø Accurate posting to General Ledger
Ø Charge-Off and Recovery Data
Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:

Ø Follow the First National Bank of Milaca Code of Ethics and other related policies and regulations and ethical standards all times
Ø Adhere to bank lending regulations
Ø Ability to understand procedures and accept guidance from your supervisor

Ø Demonstrate ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Ø Interact and communicate effectively with various types of external and internal customers (by telephone and in person)

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
