The NeuroRecovery Research Center at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital is seeking a highly motivated researcher to contribute to ongoing projects. The research center is part of Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Texas – Medical School at Houston. The research center is housed in TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital that allows easy and convenient access to patient populations, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation and pain. TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital is ranked #2 in Rehabilitation according to US News and World Report for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  A recent doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD) in human movement science, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, rehabilitation engineering or related areas.

• The candidate should be highly motivated to advance his/her research career in neurorehabilitation.

• Experience with neuromodulation experiments (TMS, or tDCS/tACS, or EStim) involving human subjects.

• Proficiency in MatLab programming and computational skills in EEG and EMG signal processing.

The post-doctoral fellow is expected to contribute to ongoing projects on neuromodulation for post-stroke motor recovery. Development of new projects for possible grant proposal submission and collaboration with other faculty members are strongly encouraged. Position Summary:

A biomedical postdoc position provides an opportunity for early-career researchers to gain valuable experience, develop independent research skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in their field of expertise.
