The Clackamas River Racquet Club is seeking a Manager on Duty for our private tennis club and gym in Gladstone!

We are a private tennis & fitness club in Gladstone. We are seeking a mature, energetic individual to supervise our Front Desk staff, manage day to day operational activities, actively pursue marketing plans to increase membership and participation in activities, and to develop and implement activities.
The successful candidate must be able to multitask with ease, manage a diverse group of Front Desk attendants and Members, have stellar customer service, computer and marketing skills, and be willing to work various shifts.
Type of Position: Part-time, Hybrid
Shifts: Varied, work out coverage with other managers
Start Date: Accepting applications on a rolling basis until the position is filled
Pay: From $20 + commission
Basic Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Currently have or obtain in timely manner: OLCC License, Food Handlers, First Aid, CPR & AED Certificates
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Self-starter
- Proficient using computers – experience using Microsoft Suite or Google Suite
- Highly skilled in multitasking
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills through various mediums (text, email, phone, in-person, etc)
Manager-Specific Required Experience:
- Managing, creating, using, and training staff on spreadsheets (GoogleSheets preferred)
- Database management (CourtReserve or similar, membership tracking, etc)
- Handling monthly billing and POS (QuickBooks, handling/tracking cash, etc)
- Scheduling (GoogleCalendar, organizing shifts, advising on business/holiday hours)
- Middle management duties
- Manage and support Front Desk Staff
- Handle customer complaints
- Holding customers and staff to rules and policies
- Navigating the middle ground between staff and manager/owner
- Tackle basic maintenance issues
- Good at troubleshooting when under stress
- Schedule/Run monthly staff meetings
- Understands handling of PPI
- Understands basic digital security
- Constantly work to improve established systems and processes
- Taking reservations (CourtReserve, over phones, in-person, etc)
- Managing inventory and shopping (submit and pay for orders, make grocery runs, track receipts, etc)
- Organizing events and groups (handling USTA matches and teams, promoting events, generate basic graphics using secure software, etc)
