Product Process Engineer I
Stanford Manufacturing (FourShare LLC) – Clemmons, NC
Build Better Manufacturing Processes. Work Where the Action Happens.
Are you an engineer who prefers being on the production floor instead of behind a desk all day? At Stanford Manufacturing, we're looking for a hands-on Product Process Engineer I who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems, improving automated equipment, and working directly with production teams to make processes safer, faster, and more efficient.
This is not a traditional office engineering role. While some documentation and CAD work is required, the majority of your day will be spent in our manufacturing facility and warehouse, working alongside production employees, troubleshooting equipment, evaluating processes, supporting automation, and implementing improvements.
If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, working around machinery, and seeing your ideas come to life on the production floor, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and improvement of manufacturing processes and new products.
- Work directly with production equipment, assembly machines, robotics, and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues to improve productivity and quality.
- Assist with tooling design, machine modifications, and process improvements.
- Evaluate and improve production workflows for efficiency and safety.
- Create and update work instructions, technical documentation, and engineering drawings.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment upgrades.
- Train production employees on new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Review supplier parts, tooling, and drawings to ensure specifications are met.
- Help manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 0–3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience or coursework involving automation, robotics, PLCs, servo systems, or motion controls is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD software (2D/3D).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Comfortable learning new equipment and technologies.
- Reliable transportation.
- Passport (or ability to obtain one within six months).
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
