The Museum’s mission is “to serve as America’s resource for nuclear history and science. The Museum presents exhibits and quality educational programs that convey the diversity of individuals and events that shape the historical and technical context of the nuclear age.
Overview
The Development Associate plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission by supporting comprehensive fundraising and membership strategies. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and relationship-driven professional who will oversee donor database management, support the grant lifecycle, and assist with membership appeals.

Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Position Requirements:
-Demonstrated organization and follow-through
-Advanced writing skills
-Strong communication and research skills
-Meets frequent and revolving deadlines, very detail-oriented
-Able to follow directions and complete tasks as requested in a detailed and timely manner
-Ability to meet high expectations and take pride in their work
-Physical ability to complete rental set-ups and teardowns, such as chair set-up, moving tables, etc., able to lift 25 pounds.
-Access to reliable transportation to attend outreach events and to pick up silent auction items
Desired Attributes:
-College Degree preferred
-Experience working in a result-oriented environment
-Data software management experience
Reports to: Director of Development
Basic Work Week: The position is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position with 40 hours/week. Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision after 90 days, Matching 401K after 6 months. Paid sick leave, vacation, and 7 paid holidays.
