Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Bidding Professional to join our innovative technology procurement team. This is a base + commission opportunity. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end process of preparing and submitting competitive bids for complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and client requirements. Your expertise will drive successful contract negotiations, vendor management, and strategic sourcing initiatives that support our organization’s growth and technological advancement. This opportunity will also require some office assistance with order management, sales follow up, inventory management, and other similar roles. Duties

• Manage a leads list looking for bid opportunities with Contract Reporter, local government agencies, local general contractors, and compliance opportunity agents for WBE, DBE, and other certified certification officers who can offer opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential vendors and assess current industry trends in IT solutions, including SAP, Oracle, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Develop detailed bid proposals by analyzing technical specifications, project scope, and client needs to craft compelling, compliant submissions.
• Manage the entire bidding process from initial inquiry through submission, ensuring all documentation meets quality standards and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including project management, legal, finance, and technical departments—to gather necessary information and align bid strategies.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers focusing on procurement terms, pricing, service levels, and compliance with information security standards.
• Utilize automated procurement systems and enterprise solutions to streamline sourcing activities and improve efficiency.
• Oversee vendor contract management, ensuring all agreements adhere to organizational policies while maximizing value through effective negotiation techniques.
• Monitor supplier performance post-award to ensure contractual obligations are met and maintain strong vendor relationships for future opportunities.
• Support enterprise-wide supply chain management efforts by coordinating procurement activities across multiple technology categories while managing budgets effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience in IT procurement or sourcing within a technology-focused environment, with a strong understanding of contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Hands-on project management experience in implementing enterprise solutions such as SAP or Oracle ERP systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in market research related to IT products and services, including automated procurement systems and supply chain processes.
• Familiarity with procurement contract negotiation strategies specific to technology categories such as hardware, software licenses, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Technical proficiency in supply chain management tools, vendor management platforms, and procurement software applications.
• Strong knowledge of information security standards relevant to IT sourcing activities and contract compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation with vendors and collaboration across diverse teams involved in the bidding process.
