Purchasing Coordinator

SynergyLabs is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for its Hildebran, NC facility. This role supports the daily tactical purchasing activities of the department by managing purchase orders, monitoring material flow, reconciling invoices, and maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports. The Purchasing Coordinator plays an important role in helping ensure materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and strong process discipline.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and follow up on purchase orders for assigned suppliers to help ensure materials are received on time and production schedules are supported.
• Monitor open purchase orders, track supplier confirmations and updates, and maintain accurate order information within the ERP system.
• Place purchase orders based on schedules, forecasts, and order points, and maintain tiered pricing and related purchasing data in the ERP system.
• Review and distribute open purchase order reports, confirm shipping status with vendors, and communicate delivery delays or challenges to the appropriate internal teams.
• Review MRP regularly to identify future material needs for designated raw materials.
• Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and terms, close purchase orders, and resolve invoice price discrepancies.
• Maintain effective, professional working relationships with suppliers to support accurate and timely order execution.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock items to support production needs while minimizing aged or excess inventory.
• Review purchase history and inventory records to stay aware of changes affecting supply and demand for needed materials.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports to support purchasing and inventory management activities.
• Support other purchasing and supply chain activities as needed to meet departmental and business needs.
• Assist Receiving Team with coordinating deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, including pivot tables and vlookup.
• Working knowledge of MRP planning systems; SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage routine follow-up and multiple priorities consistently.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal cross-functional partners in a practical, service-oriented way.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and purchasing data in a structured environment.
