Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Plumbing Associate for the closing shift to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with plumbing products and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of plumbing systems, and the ability to engage customers effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in retail sales, product demonstrations, and inside sales within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting plumbing products and provide detailed product information
- Maintain organized stock levels and ensure shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Conduct product demos and explain features related to plumbing fixtures and accessories
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handle cash or card payments
- Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays and signage for plumbing departments
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during the closing shift
- Address customer inquiries promptly, providing solutions tailored to their renovation or remodeling needs
- Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in the department
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, inside sales, or outside sales preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing products, renovation projects, or construction environments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory counts
- Ability to operate POS systems efficiently and perform cash handling accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to upselling and product recommendations
- Flexibility to work during evening hours on the closing shift; ability to work independently and as part of a team
