Position Summary
Elite Industrial is seeking an experienced Level III Vibration Technician to support industrial reliability, predictive maintenance, and machinery health monitoring programs at customer facilities throughout the United States. This position requires extensive travel and the ability to work independently while providing advanced vibration analysis, troubleshooting, and condition monitoring services on critical rotating equipment.
Candidates with Level I certification and a proven desire to advance will also be considered.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform vibration data collection and analysis on rotating equipment including:
- Pumps
- Motors
- Compressors
- Fans
- Gearboxes
- Turbines
- Conveyors
- Process equipment
- Diagnose machinery defects including:
- Misalignment
- Unbalance
- Mechanical looseness
- Bearing failures
- Resonance
- Lubrication issues
- Gear defects
- Electrical motor faults
- Generate detailed condition monitoring and machinery health reports.
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions and repair priorities.
- Support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives.
- Conduct route-based and troubleshooting vibration surveys.
- Interface directly with customer maintenance and engineering teams.
- Assist with root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations.
- Maintain vibration databases and equipment history records.
- Support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.
- Travel to customer facilities nationwide as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred
- Vibration Institute Category III Certification (or equivalent ISO 18436 Level III)
- Minimum 5 years of vibration analysis experience
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment reliability
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies

- Strong mechanical background with industrial maintenance experience
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to advance to higher certification levels

- Ability to climb ladders and access elevated work areas.
- Ability to work in industrial environments including mills, refineries, manufacturing facilities, and process plants.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required.
Travel Requirements
- 75%–100% travel expected.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain site-specific safety clearances and complete customer-required training.
