General Description
Working under the direction of the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for leading and maintaining the Danuser Quality Management System (DQMS) to ensure products meet or exceed internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations.
Education, Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, quality management or equivalent is required. ASQ certification is preferred. A valid driver license is required.
Quality Manager Experience
Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing quality management experience is required. Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience is preferred.
Quality Assurance Specialized Knowledge and Skills
· Must possess proficient technical knowledge and manual dexterity
· Working knowledge of quality frameworks such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, PPAP, or Root Cause Analysis
· Intermediate math and reading skills
· Able to read blueprints, dial calipers, combination square, tape measure, and other necessary measuring tools
· Able to use hand and power tools
· Knowledge of proper metal fabrication and welding techniques
· Computer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
· Working knowledge of office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.

Essential Duties
1. Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Danuser Quality Management System (DQMS).
2. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, statutory, and customer-specific quality requirements.
3. Lead and ensure effective quality planning throughout the Product Realization Process (PRP) by collaborating with engineering, production, and management to define quality requirements, risks, controls, and verification methods ensuring products, processes, and documentation conform to DQMS and ISO 9001 requirements.
4. Participate in supplier selection, qualification, and risk assessment activities.
5. Product inspection oversight.
6. Work with Quality Control Inspectors to ensure measuring devices are properly controlled.
7. Ensure proper control of nonconforming products.
8. Lead supplier corrective actions, performance reviews, and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with purchasing and engineering.
9. Lead risk-based thinking activities across quality processes, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of quality-related risks.
10. Serve as quality liaison between engineering, production, shop floor, suppliers, sales, customer service, customers, and management.
11. Develop, implement, and maintain quality-related training programs and materials for shop floor employees, inspectors, supervisors, and office personnel.
12. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and support functions using structured problem-solving and quality improvement methodologies.
13. Drive corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
14. Plan, conduct, and support internal audits, customer audits, and third-party ISO 9001 audits.
15. Define, track, analyze, and report quality performance metrics including scrap, rework, defects, audit findings, and customer complaints.
16. Lead and prepare input for management review meetings, including quality performance, audit results, customer feedback, risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
17. Perform inspections when required.
18. Supervise quality personnel.
19. Follow all company and safety policies, guidelines, and rules.
20. Follow all quality standards.
21. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
22. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
23. Work in a fast-paced environment.
24. Stay focused and on task with minimal supervision.

Work Environment
Mainly an office environment position, this role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers/printers, and filing cabinets. Intermittent trips to the manufacturing shop floor will be necessary. Safety eyewear and other PPE will be required as necessary.
Physical Demands
Spends more than half (1/2) of the time sitting or standing while working on a computer. Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching will be required for additional duties. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally position heavier material with the aid of lifting device(s). Generally requires clear vision at close distances for reading and computer tasks.
Schedule
Full time, exempt. Regular office hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Travel
Rarely. Some travel may be required for training.
