Contract Length: 12 months renewable
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will work to contribute and improve the overall Health & Nutrition of the targeted Beneficiaries in Syria, through provision of quality Comprehensive primary health care including RH, child health and nutrition services (MIYCN, IYCF-E, CMAM, MAMI). The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will work collaboratively with partners to meet the needs of patients, promote healthy behaviours, strengthen health systems and improve access to basic health and nutrition services. She/ He will work under the direct line management of Head of Office and is also expected to work closely/coordinate with Health & nutrition Technical Advisors (Backstop) in the Country office on technical matters/inputs.
