Comfort Kare Services is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Stafford, Virginia. We currently provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy and Speech Therapy, and we are excited to add Occupational Therapy services to better support the children and families we serve.

Position Summary

We are seeking a contracted Occupational Therapist to provide clinical supervision and support for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) while delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within our clinic. The Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, oversee and direct COTA services in accordance with state and federal regulations, and provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our ABA and Speech Therapy teams to ensure coordinated, interdisciplinary, and family-centered care that promotes optimal outcomes for each child.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client’s needs and goals.
• Supervising COTA virtually That will provide direct occupational therapy interventions in clinic.
• Address fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, self-care, social participation, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with ABA therapists, speech-language pathologists, caregivers, and other team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and treatment reports.
• Educate and support families regarding therapeutic strategies and home programming.
• Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Virginia Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
• Knowledge of sensory integration, developmental milestones, and evidence-based pediatric interventions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
