Well established California Commercial General Contractor specializing in Retail, Grocery, office and industrial construction projects seeks Assistant Project Manager with experience preferred in commercial project management.

In this position, you will support the project manager with the intent to grow into a project manager over time as you learn all of the project manager’s duties and responsibilities

Requirements:

· Experience in commercial construction background

· Proficiency with project management software such as MS Word. Microsoft Project.

· Knowledge of project life cycles, including planning, execution, monitoring and closeout

· Excellent Client interaction skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to read plans

Job duties:

• Assist Project Manager & Superintendent with daily duties
• Assist with pre-construction and in-progress meetings with clients
• Send out and track requests for proposals to multiple subcontracts prior to us assembling our bid to our client(s)
• Assist the project manager throughout the construction process from bid through job close-out.
• Assist in creating and maintaining the project schedule
• Work will mainly take place in office with some job walks and other field work
• Coordinating meetings with the subcontractors and project owners
• Assist in purchasing materials for projects
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability and willingness to grow into a Project Manager or Superintendent position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
