Job Overview:

We are an independently owned and operated long‑term care facility and we are seeking a Registered Nurse to lead Infection Prevention & Control and Staff Development. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports resident safety, and provides ongoing education for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the facility Infection Preventionist (certified or willing to obtain certification).
• Complete all required infection control surveillance, documentation, and reporting (including NHSN).
• Maintain and update infection control policies and procedures.
• Provide staff training on infection prevention, PPE, isolation precautions, and hand hygiene.
• Plan and deliver all required in‑services, annual training, and new‑hire orientation.
• Track competencies and maintain education records.
• Support QAPI and collaborate with leadership to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required).
• Infection Prevention certification preferred; willingness to obtain required.
• Long‑term care experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS, CDC, and state infection control regulations.
• Strong communication, teaching, and organizational skills.

Pay: $35.99 - $43.34 per hour
