Can you make Oracle Fusion and a modern cloud platform work as one — reliably, at scale?
Do you live and breathe integration, automation and infrastructure-as-code?
Is the sound of working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment exciting?
The Dauntless engineering crew is growing. We’re looking for an Oracle integration engineer to deliver the Oracle-side integration build for a groundbreaking programme delivered for our client.
This is a unique opportunity to grow into our team's Oracle specialist — building the integrations that connect Oracle Fusion ERP to a modern, Azure-hosted dispatch and field-service platform, along with the automation, deployment pipelines and OCI platform services that make them reliable and repeatable.
In this role you will work alongside our Azure DevOps engineer, the Dauntless integration lead, the client’s technical stakeholders and the client’s Oracle ERP partner team to deliver a coherent, well-integrated and reliable platform.
Who We Are
Dauntless is a full-service digital agency specialising in digital strategy, design and development. We work with global brands across various industries, delivering everything from small prototypes to large-scale digital products and software.
Our Crew is:
- globally distributed
- cross-vertical
- industry-agnostic
- multi-disciplined
- digital problem solvers
Our purpose is to help growth-focused companies and industry leaders achieve their goals quickly and efficiently.
Combining our strategic approach, relentless creativity and technical expertise, we drive digital transformation and innovation programmes worldwide.
If you are passionate, collaborative, hard-working, and eager to grow with us, let's talk.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting an Oracle integration engineer: hands-on OIC and Fusion experience prioritised over years to own the Oracle-side integration build on a new programme of work. You will build to integration designs agreed with our integration lead, with clear scope to grow your architectural ownership as the programme matures.
More than skills, we’re interested in you as a person and how you will bring the best to the projects you work on and those around you. We love pioneering and making waves, and we have fun while we’re doing all of the above.
You should also have a positive, constructive attitude towards clients and appreciate the complexities of managing expectations externally, within a distributed delivery team, and with third-party partner teams whose platforms we integrate with.
What Makes You Right For This Role?
- You have strong hands-on experience of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and integrating Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.
- You can work as the day-to-day Oracle specialist within a distributed UK/US team, supported by a US-based integration lead.
- You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and are comfortable working with a distributed UK/US team.
- Driven by a customer-obsessed approach, with a passion for automation, reliability and sound cloud governance.
- You thrive in a fast and challenging environment without compromising quality or security.
- Desire to work as part of a remote, cross-functional and highly collaborative team - not ‘just integration’.
- Curious mindset and willing to test and learn, to be wrong and to try new things.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations - REST-based flows, orchestrations and long-running processes with compensation - connecting Oracle Fusion ERP to the wider application platform, working to agreed integration designs.
- Integrate Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (Financials, SCM, HCM) via REST APIs, and implement bulk and file-based patterns using FBDI and BI Publisher.
- Implement event-driven flows from Fusion business events through OIC and OCI Streaming into the platform’s Azure integration fabric.
- Build version-controlled deployment pipelines for OIC integration artifacts, automating promotion across environments
- Monitor and report OIC capacity and message consumption against the agreed capacity model, flagging headroom risks early.
- Provision and operate the OCI platform services that support integration - identity (IAM), compartments, Object Storage, Streaming, vaults/secrets - as infrastructure-as-code with Terraform via OCI Resource Manager.
- Implement observability - OCI Monitoring and Logging plus integration-level tracing, and support incident response for integration failures.
- Work day-to-day with the client’s Oracle ERP partner team within the agreed operating model, raising and tracking change requests, reviewing integration specifications and maintaining joint runbooks.
- Automate operational and provisioning tasks with Terraform, Bash and/or Python; document standards and runbooks.
- Support hybrid and multi-cloud interoperability between the OCI and Azure components of the solution, alongside our Azure DevOps engineer.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
Essential skills and experience
- 3–5 years in integration, Oracle development or cloud engineering roles, with demonstrable hands-on OIC delivery.
- Experience integrating Oracle Fusion Cloud applications - REST APIs and FBDI / BI Publisher patterns.
- A good grasp of integration patterns: synchronous REST, event-driven, and batch/file.
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform (OCI Resource Manager or equivalent).
- Solid Linux fundamentals and scripting (Bash and/or Python).
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, identity and security on OCI.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to work across a distributed UK/US team.
Desirable
- OIC or OCI certification - e.g. OIC Professional, OCI Architect Associate, or OCI Foundations.
- BICC (BI Cloud Connector) extract experience.
- Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) or Autonomous Data Warehouse exposure.
- Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS) experience.
- CI/CD pipeline experience (OCI DevOps, Github CI, Azure DevOps or similar).
- Experience operating in multi-cloud setups, especially alongside Microsoft Azure.
- Background in field-service, logistics, dispatch or data-intensive platforms.
Reporting Line & Collaboration
This role reports to the Integration Lead (US-based), who owns the Oracle integration architecture on the account and will agree integration designs with you. You will partner closely with the Azure DevOps engineer to deliver a coherent, well-integrated platform, and work day-to-day with the client’s Oracle ERP partner team, who own and operate parts of the Oracle integration estate.
The role will interface with the client’s technical team on the US East Coast and with the CDO (Florida) as the engagement requires, so a working pattern offering daily overlap with both the UK and the US is expected.
