Outpatient Facility Coder: Accurately and completely code outpatient accounts using ICD and/or CPT / HCPCS / EM or current coding convention with at least 95% accuracy. Accurately abstract records entering all data required. Maintain communication effectively with other departments concerning clarification of changes. Maintain adequate productivity levels.

Job Requirements

Coding Assessment Required prior to hiring.

• 4 or more years’ experience in ICD and/or CPT coding. Thorough understanding of ICD and/or CPT / HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Must be AHIMA or AAPC credentialed as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, COC, CIC, CPC
• Must have secure dedicated home-based work space with high speed internet access
• Must have be proficient AHIMA ICD-10 guidelines
• Must have remote experience and experience with multi-computer screen usage
• Must be proficient with Excel, Word and Email usage.
