Position: Residential Solar Installer/Lead Installer/Electrician/Electrical Apprentice
Job Summary:
- As the Crew Foreman, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
1. Job Completion: Overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of installation projects, ensuring they are completed according to design specifications and within the allotted time frame.
2. Job Site Safety: Implementing and enforcing strict safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for the crew members and adherence to all applicable safety regulations.
3. Crew Efficiency: Managing the crew, assigning tasks, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.
4. Code Compliance: Verifying that all installations are performed in accordance with code requirements and design specifications.
5. Equipment: Ensuring that the crew has all necessary tools, equipment, and materials to perform their daily tasks effectively.
6. Vehicle Management: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles used by the crew.
7. Customer Interaction: Responsable to direct interaction with customers and ensuring they are aware of what will be taking place as well as satisfaction upon job completion.
8. Job Data Collection: Responsible for submitting all required documentation from each job each day.
9. Work Schedule: Work schedule is subject to change ( M-F and some Saturdays)
10. Location: Field Based
- As an Install Technician, your primary responsibilities will include the following:
1. Job Site Safety: Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment for yourself and fellow team members.
2. Quality Workmanship: Demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality installations by following established procedures and industry best practices.
3. Ability to Follow Direction: Executing tasks assigned by the Job Foreman or Lead Installer efficiently and accurately.
4. Job Efficiency: Working diligently and effectively to complete assigned tasks within the allocated time frame, contributing to the overall efficiency of the installation team.
- As the Lead Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
1. Job Site Safety: Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and taking necessary measures to prevent accidents or injuries during rooftop installations.
2. Quality Workmanship: Overseeing and maintaining high standards of workmanship to deliver exceptional quality installations.
3. Job Efficiency: Leading and managing the installation team to maximize efficiency and productivity, ensuring timely completion of projects within the allocated time frame.
4. Code and Design Compliance: Verifying that all installations adhere to local codes, regulations, and design specifications to meet quality and compliance requirements.
5. Work Schedule: Work schedule is subject to change ( M-F and some Saturdays)
6. Location: Field Based
Responsibilities:
1. Job Site and Personal Safety:
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and provide safety training to the installation team.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on job sites.
- Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize hazards.
2. Install Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the installation team throughout the entire project.
- Coordinate and schedule installation activities to meet project deadlines.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure installations meet industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during installations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
3. Management Responsibilities:
- Train, mentor, and coach installation team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity and meet project goals.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for installations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in solar installation, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Battery experience for electricians (Solar Edge, Tesla, Enphase, LG) along with load relocation
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical components, and installation practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth understanding of job site safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Proficiency in interpreting project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different job sites as required.
- Relevant certifications such as NABCEP or OSHA are highly desirable.
Some travel may be required.
