Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Territory Sales Executive to develop new business opportunities and manage customer relationships throughout New Mexico. This position is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys meeting people, building long-term partnerships, and helping customers bring projects from concept to completion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, conducting site visits, identifying customer needs, preparing proposals, and managing projects through the sales process.
Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain relationships with schools, municipalities, childcare centers, churches, HOAs, contractors, apartment communities, and commercial customers.
· Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and lead follow-up.
· Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and project consultations.
· Identify customer needs and recommend customized solutions.
· Submit requests for quotes and project recommendations.
· Manage and maintain sales activities using company software.
· Coordinate with manufacturers, contractors, and internal team members to ensure successful project execution.
· Conduct site evaluations, measurements, and project planning.
· Track leads, opportunities, and customer communications.
· Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
· Represent AK Play & Rec at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
· Travel throughout New Mexico, including overnight travel.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or a related field preferred.
· Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory.
· Proven ability to generate leads and develop new business opportunities.
· Strong customer-service mindset with a consultative sales approach.
· General construction knowledge, estimating experience, site planning, or project management experience is a plus.
· Ability to read plans, specifications, installation details, and project documents preferred.
· Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
· Proficiency with email, Google Documents, measurements.
· Valid driver’s license required.
· Ability to travel throughout New Mexico, including overnight travel as needed.
