Civil Engineer

The Hyland Group is an established and growing multi-disciplinary design servicing the South Jersey Shore and Media, PA. HDG, the engineering, land surveying and environmental consulting division, is seeking a self-motivated civil engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience with an E.I.T. or license preferred.

Jobs will include a diverse range and scale of projects involving all aspects of site and roadway design with an emphasis on stormwater management. Responsibilities and Duties

The responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

· Schematic site design

· Grading & stormwater management design

· Proficiency in HydroCad or similar stormwater modeling program software

· Septic system and sanitary sewer design

· Site lighting design

· Roadway design

· Prepare complete site construction drawings with plans, sections and details

· Construction specifications and bid package preparation

· Construction administration services (Shop Drawings, RFIs, and field visits)

· Management of projects from start to finish.

· Prepare engineering reports

· Mentor and develop junior engineering staff

· Attendance at municipal and county planning and zoning board hearings

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate must have:

· Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering.

· PE Licensure, or EIT Certification and plans for PE licensure desirable.

· Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD.

· Technical skills must be at the level in which candidates can execute assignments independently with minimal principal oversight.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· The ability and desire to work in a group environment for larger projects.
