As a senior QA Engineer in Aspira, the individual is expected to:
- Participate in the entire development life cycle including requirement analysis, driving the testing from planning to completion, designing good test cases with high coverage, testing web service and applications, tracking defects with meaningful details, providing root cause analysis, impact analysis and participate in code reviews.
- Execute the test plan for each iteration/release with the manager
- Work side-by-side with the developers to ensure coverage, answer questions and resolve issues.
- Design and maintain automation test scripts.
- Creatively leverage various open-source tools, or develop own testing tool/framework to help with function/technical testing
- Share knowledge with peers, by contributing the documentation in the company's confluence
- Undertake test preparation for a variety of projects, including resource estimations, planning, scoping, and identifying data/environmental requirements.
- Execute testing tasks as needed for various projects, track issues and escalate when necessary.
- Coordinate with other QA engineers and automation teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Validate and smoke test production releases.
- Support urgent product issues and work with developers to resolve the issues.
- High efficiency work on daily escalation support issues
- Work with both onshore and offshore teams, such as Product, Account Managers, DevOps, Infrastructure, databases, and App Support teams.
- Daily communication with local stakeholders to pass accurate information through meetings, emails, SMS etc.
- Must have 5+ years' experience in functional testing.
- Must have detailed knowledge of SQL Server databases, experience writing SQL queries and testing SSRS reports.
- Automation testing using Selenium is a plus.
- Experience with Defect Tracking tools such as JIRA, SpiraTeam etc.
- Proven experience with GitLab and GitHub code repositories.
- Familiarity with Microsoft .NET framework, Visual Studio/VS Code and testing frameworks such as MSTest or xUnit.
- Basic knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Technical documentation experience is a plus.
- Experience in security testing, especially with PCI-DSS is desired.
