Flight and GNC Engineer wanted to join founding team of a West Coast Stealth Mode Startup

We are a team of Silicon Valley aerospace engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders with multiple successful startups under our belts working on an innovative automated flight platform.
We are seeking an Aerospace Engineer to take a leadership role in the Aerospace aspects of the project. The right candidate must have proven experience in guidance/navigation/control (GNC), airframe design and optimization, stability, and subsonic flight simulation. Candidate must have experience working with position sensors, Quaternions, and related flight control programming techniques to accurately control the flight path of the vehicle based on electronic inputs. Operational specifications include attitude and position control and navigating in GPS denied environments.
Software development experience in Python and C++ on Raspberry Pi or similar systems required.
This role will be involved in all aspects of the project, including usage and direct implementation Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) software and coordination with the electronics/avionics and mechanical team members on sensor integration, system design, and avionics software development.
Structural design, CAD (e.g., Solidworks, Onshape, etc.), and 3D printing experience a plus.
You will be involved in very early-stage product software development, refinement, prototype implementation, optimization, and production. Timelines are key, and a proven ability to build working systems is required.
This position will ideally start as a contract position and transition to full time with both cash and founder's stock.
Compensation: Competitive Base + Founder's Stock

Job Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD Aerospace Engineering with proven experience in the relevant fields.
Experience developing software in Python and C++ or Rust on Raspberry Pi or equivalent.
Ability to work effectively with a team of other engineering disciplines.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Silicon Valley, CA
