As a Virtual Speech Therapist, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans using telehealth platforms, ensuring patients receive expert care in a comfortable and convenient setting.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.
• Develop tailored therapy plans that address specific communication challenges, incorporating evidence-based techniques.
• Deliver engaging telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure video conferencing tools, fostering active participation and progress.
• Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families or caregivers on exercises, strategies, and techniques to support ongoing communication development.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of sessions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs or disabilities.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience working with children in school settings or early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Strong background in pediatric speech therapy, early intervention, and working with individuals with disabilities.
• Experience providing telehealth therapy services effectively and confidently using telehealth platforms.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient assessment techniques relevant to speech-language pathology.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management.
• Excellent communication skills to engage patients of all ages and collaborate with families and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality.
