Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bore Machine Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty bore machines used for underground drilling and construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure precise, efficient, and safe installation of utilities, pipelines, and other infrastructure components. Responsibilities

• Operate bore machines and horizontal drilling equipment with precision to meet project specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other heavy equipment operators to coordinate activities.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of drilling sites, including excavation support using excavators, loaders, dozers, and backhoes.
• Monitor drilling progress, adjust equipment as needed, and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of machine operation, project progress, and safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating bore machines or horizontal drilling equipment in construction or utility installation projects.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and Caterpillar machinery.
• Valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read technical manuals and interpret project plans accurately.
• Construction site experience involving excavation, paving, or underground utilities is highly desirable.

• The horizontal direction drill we use is a Vermeer 10x15, we strongly prefer someone with experience on this platform.
• We also have two stick bore machines any experience on this are a plus as well.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
