Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AOI Operator / Programmer to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment within an SMT manufacturing environment. Experience with Mirtec AOI systems is highly preferred; however, candidates with AOI experience on other platforms are encouraged to apply, as training on Mirtec equipment will be provided. Experience with SMT pick-and-place machines is also highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and program Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment.
• Perform inspections to ensure PCB assemblies meet quality standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects during the inspection process.
• Support SMT production by working closely with manufacturing and quality teams.
• Assist with setup, optimization, and continuous improvement of AOI programs.
• Operate or support SMT pick-and-place equipment when needed.
• Maintain production documentation and follow established manufacturing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Reliable transportation or ability to commute to the work location.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of AOI operation experience required.
• Experience programming or operating AOI inspection systems.
• Experience with Mirtec AOI is strongly preferred.
• Experience with SMT pick-and-place equipment is a plus.
• Previous experience in electronic contract manufacturing (ECM) or SMT production is required.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly processes and electronic manufacturing best practices.
