Key Responsibilities
-
Own and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including placement, reflow, and inspection

Develop and refine reflow profiles to ensure product quality and process stability
-
Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues in real time on the production floor
-
Drive line optimization efforts to improve throughput, efficiency, and first-pass yield
-
Analyze defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
-
Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across SMT operations
-
Support process automation and modernization efforts to enhance scalability
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges
-
Assist in validation and implementation of new equipment, materials, and processes
Required Qualifications
-
5–10+ years of SMT process engineering experience within PCB/PCBA manufacturing
-
Strong expertise in:
o SMT placement equipment and processes
o Reflow soldering & thermal profiling
o Troubleshooting SMT line issues and defects
o Line optimization and process improvements
o Yield improvement initiatives
o Manufacturing data analysis and root cause problem solving

Hands-on, floor-based mindset with the ability to drive solutions in real time

Experience supporting automation and production scaling efforts

ITAR eligibility required; experience working in an ITAR-regulated environment is a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume environments

Exposure to AOI/X-ray inspection systems

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
