Westwind Homes Laredo is looking for a full time IT Division Administrator who is a dynamic, customer service oriented individual who is looking for an opportunity to learn, grow and develop within our organization. The Division IT Administrator will report directly to the Corporate IT Manager.
Required Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Server/Hyper-V technology; general PC and native software technologies, enterprise-level backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, Microsoft Active Directory Management
- Firewall technologies and content management
- Must possess experience in project management, application design & integration, and cloud computing.
- Understanding of SQL Database operation and integration with reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of database interaction within separate servers inside the same domain and network.
- Multi-domain networked central and branch offices security and communications
- Good organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary.
Preferred Experience but Not Mandatory:
- Voice over IP, SIP servers and SIP telephony
- Full understanding of Group Policy Directives within Active Directory and services deployment
- Computer Imaging
- Data backup technologies
- WiFi through controller based systems
- Dynamic routing configurations
- Load balancing systems
- Local and cloud storage synchronization technologies
- Preferred pursuit of bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or Computer engineering)
- Preferred 1 years of proven experience in Information Technology, or equivalent combination of technical training and /or experience.
- Industry and Vendor certifications are a plus.
Major Duties and Responsibilities but Not Limited to:
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with network or servers.
- Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Install and configure new hardware and software as needed.
- Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, reinstallation of operating systems, etc…
- Assist in answering technical queries and assisting end-users.
- Responsibility for security and for documenting the configuration of systems.
- Troubleshooting any reported problems and conduct system performance tuning.
- Ensuring that the data center and network infrastructure is up and running.
- Configure, add, and delete file systems, as necessary.
- Ensuring parity between developers, test with lab and production environments and train users.
- Plan and manage backup policies.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Perform data backups and proactive recovery operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
- Perform minor cabling projects for network/data center/access control/meeting rooms/offices.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Liaising with Website Vendors and sales team regarding published media.
- Assist in set up of sales office IT hardware.
- Man front desk assist visitor navigation of office.
- Receive and sort mail. Notify management of important letters.
