IDR is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join a remote team building reliable back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytics applications. In this role, you’ll own production-ready microservices that support uptime, scale, and performance for real-world use cases.
Position Overview for the Sr Software Engineer :

Build and maintain cloud-based backend services and microservices that power analytics and clinical data use cases

Turn product and technical requirements into production code in a modern programming language

Collaborate with PM/PO/architect partners to deliver features and improvements that meet reliability and scale goals

Participate in Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and operational support

Diagnose and resolve complex production issues using root-cause analysis across application, data, and system layers
-
Contribute to architecture discussions and mentor junior engineers by leading project components
Required Qualifications for the Sr Software Engineer :

BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) with 5+ years of software engineering experience, or AS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) with 7+ years of experience

5+ years of hands-on experience building services or applications using a high-level language such as Go, Python, Java, or C# (C/C++ acceptable if recent service-building experience is demonstrated)

Experience with modern engineering practices including coding standards, pull request/code review, source control, and build/test/operations workflows

Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to own deliverables with minimal guidance

Agile experience working in iterative development cycles

Work authorization to work in the United States (remote role)
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

Familiarity with open-source technologies

Experience with data-heavy systems (databases, analytics/BI, big data, or data warehousing)

Experience with distributed systems focused on performance, availability, and scalability

Compensation Range: $70 – 75/hour
