StarsHR has the following hybrid contract role available with our client in the Greater Pittsburgh.

Software QA Tester

Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux or other OS platforms

· Experience with Web Services testing and proficient use of SOAPUI

· Experience with query languages to view data to verify test results

· Experience working on projects with .NET framework or other Object Oriented framework

· Experience working with Web application testing

· Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

. Performs audit functions to ensure appropriate procedures are followed

. Coordinates delivery of scoped activities within a software build

. Develops and executes manual & automated test cases

. Files descriptive and accurate defect reports as necessary

. Works with Business Analyst and Development team to learn Software Development processes and methodologies

. Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.

. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, creating reusable test data, test case automation, and test execution.

. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent

· Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux or other OS platforms

· Experience with Web Services testing and proficient use of SOAPUI

· Experience with query languages to view data to verify test results

· Basic knowledge of source (code) control

· Basic knowledge of database Microsoft SQL Server series

· Must have worked on projects with .NET framework or other Object Oriented framework

· Must have worked with Web application testing
