Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Base Salary: $185,000 + 15-20% Annual Bonus

Overview

Our client, a leading organization in the life sciences manufacturing and distribution industry, is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Warehouse Management (WM/EWM) Architect to lead the design and governance of integrated warehousing and logistics solutions across a complex supply chain environment.

This is a highly visible architecture role responsible for designing and overseeing end-to-end warehouse and logistics processes spanning Procurement (MM), Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), Logistics Execution (LE), Production Planning (PP), and Sales & Distribution (SD).

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP WM/EWM, strong knowledge of MM and SD/LE integrations, and experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain operations within regulated environments.

What You'll Be Doing

As the SAP Operations & Warehousing Architect, you will serve as the senior solution authority responsible for the architecture, design governance, and continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics capabilities across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities include:

Warehouse & Logistics Architecture

• Lead the architecture and design of SAP WM/EWM solutions supporting:
• Inbound goods receipt
• Put-away and storage management
• Internal warehouse movements
• Manufacturing staging
• Production supply
• Finished goods storage
• Picking, packing, shipping, and goods issue
• Ensure warehouse processes are fully integrated with:
• Materials Management (MM)
• Production Planning (PP)
• Sales & Distribution (SD)
• Logistics Execution (LE)

Supply Chain Integration

• Design end-to-end material flows from procurement through manufacturing and customer fulfillment.
• Architect automated replenishment strategies for production and warehouse locations.
• Ensure inventory visibility, traceability, and accuracy throughout the supply chain.
• Support warehouse-driven manufacturing supply processes, production staging, and finished goods handling.

SD, LE & Fulfillment Integration

• Design and govern outbound processes including:
• Delivery creation
• Picking
• Packing
• Goods issue
• Shipment processing
• Lead Logistics Execution architecture including:
• Shipping points
• Route determination
• Transportation and carrier handoffs
• Delivery scheduling
• Shipment documentation

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the solution authority across WM/EWM, MM, SD, LE, and PP.
• Lead architecture workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Review solution designs and identify integration risks before development begins.
• Drive testing strategy across warehouse and logistics workflows.
• Support post-go-live optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required QualificationsMust-Have Experience

• 12+ years of SAP functional and solution architecture experience.
• 8+ years of SAP Warehouse Management experience utilizing:
• SAP WM (LE-WM)
• SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM
• Decentralized EWM
• Minimum of two full-lifecycle SAP implementations where warehouse operations were a significant component of the solution.

Additional Requirements

• Strong understanding of Logistics Execution (LE).
• Experience leading enterprise-level design workshops.
• Experience designing warehouse-related master data structures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
