Job Summary

Perform, lead and manage accounting operations activities to ensure timely, accurate and transparent financial records that comply with corporate and legal standards, while supporting effective internal controls.

Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• ▪ Performs & Executes Accounting Operations activities. - Performs the monthly fiscal closing process. Prepares and records all accounting entries, including accruals and provisions. - Prepares and analyzes internal monthly financial statements, highlighting notable fluctuations and offering recommendations to the Line Manager.
• - Prepares and completes monthly bank reconciliations on a timely manner.
• - Prepares the monthly Inventory Valuation for products and its Cost Analysis.
• - Coordinates and executes inventory counts, tracking and validation programs.
• - Reviews Accounts Payable transactions posting and payments.
• ▪ Assess the risk associated with Accounts Receivable and be prepared to present and discuss the findings at the weekly MANCOM meetings.
• ▪ Prepares and validates the Magnitude and cFin packages.
• ▪ Provides support and collaborates in the annual external audit of the Financial Statements.
• ▪ Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly statutory tax filings and payments, as well as, quarterly statutory filings and payments.
• ▪ Assist Finance Controller on other PEC Activities as needed.
• ▪ Provides backup support for Treasury and Payroll functions.
• ▪ Supervise the work of Junior Accountant and Accounts Payable Coordinator.
• ▪ Adhere to and actively support the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE & Security) policies established by the Company.
• ▪ Performs other duties or projects as needed, including supporting company programs, policies and corporate / local initiatives.
• ▪ Ensures that all required licenses, permits and certifications for the Company are up-to-date and maintained in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a similar or related position.
• Experience in supervising personnel.
• Proficiency required in Excel and Word (Microsoft Office)
• Access and PowerPoint experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Accounting System preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate cooperatively with internal and external customers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and timely resolutions capabilities.
• Exercise sounds good judgment and upholds professional integrity when making decisions.
• Available to work in person .

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
