Growing engineering firm is looking for Structural Designer / Engineer for a full-time position in our Charlotte, N.C. office. Candidate should have experience in the structural design of residential projects. This includes structural analysis and design for all aspects of residential construction including new construction, renovations/additions and structural plan preparation for construction use. Starting salary in negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications:

· Residential Construction/Design & Engineering Experience

· Site/Field Experience

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Strong technical skills and ability to multi-task when needed

· Ability to meet or converse with customers and co-workers effectively

· Candidate must have reliable transportation to Charlotte Office as well as occasional job site inspections (valid driver’s license)

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for creating , coordinating and developing structural engineering documents and designs for construction use focusing mainly on new single family and multifamily residential projects.

· Responsible for creating, coordination, and developing structural engineering documents for construction use for renovations and addition for residential projects.

· Responsible for coordinating and/or performing field investigations and documenting structural conditions for renovations.

· Responsible for technical documents and details for customer directives

· Ability to work independently and in conjunction with others

· Respond to customer or field request calls and resolution to related questions

Experience:

• Residential Structural Design: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

• Professional Engineering License or E.I.T. (Preferred)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
