Position Summary
Our Acute Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cardiovascular / Interventional Radiology / Electrophysiology Technologist to join our advanced procedural team. This role supports physicians during cardiovascular, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, radiation protection, and procedural efficiency. The ideal candidate is a skilled multi-modality technologist who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Performs diagnostic and complex cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, peripheral and structural heart to include but not limited to EP Studies, Mapping, Ablations, Pacemakers, ICD’s, lead and pocket replacement/revisions, and loop insertions, Left and Right Heart Caths, Stenting, fistulagrams, and line placement.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
· Provide technical support for interventional radiology procedures
· Support electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures
· Operate fluoroscopic and imaging equipment safely and effectively
· Maintain sterile technique and procedural field
· Successfully removes arterial and venous sheaths.
· Monitor and document patient status throughout procedures
· Ensure adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles
· Prepare and maintain procedural equipment and supplies
· Participate in patient preparation and post-procedure care
· Maintain accurate documentation within the medical record
· Reviews, updates, and participates in inservice related to new equipment and technology and maintains a positive interaction with medical device vendors.
Required Qualifications
· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
· Current ARRT certification
· Florida Radiologic Technologist license
· Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
· Experience in cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, or electrophysiology labs
· Strong knowledge of sterile technique and fluoroscopic imaging
· Basic EKG
Preferred Qualifications
· RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
· RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certification
· Experience in multi-specialty procedural labs
· Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring systems
