As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA staff to design and execute tests, build automation, and continuously improve our QA processes. This role is ideal for a skilled QA professional who has strong hands-on experience and is ready to take ownership of major testing initiatives while continuing to grow their technical depth.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Contribute to the creation of test plans, test cases, and test strategies for web, mobile, and API-based systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and API testing across complex software environments.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Participate in root cause analysis and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the design and execution of performance, load, and security tests with guidance from senior team members.
• Work with engineering teams to improve CI/CD integration, test coverage, and overall QA efficiency.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and test data preparation.
• Help maintain test environments, manage test data, and contribute feedback on new QA tools or technologies.
• Document and communicate test results, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in at least one automated testing framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
• Programming or scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and automated testing integration.
• Experience using test management and bug tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Understanding of database testing and writing basic to intermediate SQL queries.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, cross-browser testing, and responsive UI validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Bonus Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).
• Familiarity with security testing practices and tools (e.g., OWASP guidelines).
• Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes environments or containerized testing.
• Knowledge of microservices testing, distributed systems, or service virtualization.
• Software testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, or similar).
• Experience with test data management or synthetic data generation.
• Understanding of accessibility testing standards (WCAG, Section 508).
• Exposure to shift-left testing, static analysis, or quality gates in CI/CD.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments or familiarity with TDD principles.
• Knowledge of observability/monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, DataDog).

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
