Position Summary
Agile RF Systems LLC is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer I or II to support the research, development, testing, and integration of innovative active electronically steered antenna (AESA) systems for Department of Defense and Commercial/Civil Space applications. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers while contributing to cutting-edge phased array antenna and RF system development.
The successful candidate will participate in antenna design, simulation, testing, and analysis while expanding their technical expertise in advanced RF technologies. Engineers will have the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers, participate in all phases of product development, and make meaningful technical contributions early in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
Antenna Design and Simulation
- Assist with full-wave electromagnetic modeling and simulation using CST or similar software.
- Support the design and analysis of antenna elements and phased array antennas.
- Assist with RF PCB layout reviews and multilayer RF transition designs.
- Assist with active component selection and cascade system analyses of noise figure, IP3, gain and P1dB
Testing and Data Analysis
- Perform Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurements to characterize RF hardware.
- Assist with near-field and far-field antenna testing.
- Analyze test results and document performance against design requirements.
- Help troubleshoot RF components and recommend design improvements.
Technical Documentation
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation.
- Support design reviews and customer technical meetings.
- Maintain organized engineering records and test documentation.
System Integration
- Assist in integrating RF hardware into larger communication and radar systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support project objectives.
- Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (Government Contract Requirement)
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- RF Engineer I: 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- RF Engineer II: 3–7 years of relevant experience.
- Coursework or experience in RF engineering, antenna design, microwave circuits, or electromagnetics.
- Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation software such as CST, HFSS, or similar.
- Experience with Matlab, Python, or C/C++ is preferred.
- Basic understanding of RF test equipment, including Vector Network Analyzers.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. A clearance is not required at the time of application.

- Internship, undergraduate research, or graduate research in RF or antenna engineering.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, office-based position located in Berthoud, Colorado, working Monday through Friday.
