Overview

We are looking for an experienced Tax Analyst with strong knowledge of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in U.S. tax preparation, reviewing tax returns, and interpreting tax laws. This role involves supporting tax-related processes, ensuring compliance, and working closely with internal teams to implement tax law updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tax software programs to automate tax calculations, reporting, and compliance processes using tools like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software.
• Experience working for QUickbooks is plus.
• Prepare and review U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Interpret and apply U.S. Federal and State tax laws accurately.
• Analyze tax regulations and assist in implementing tax law updates.
• Review tax calculations and ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements.
• Perform data validation and identify discrepancies in tax-related information.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support tax processes and resolve tax-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tax regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Required Qualifications
• 5–7 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation, tax compliance, or taxation.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations.
• Experience preparing or reviewing individual and business tax returns.
• Familiarity with U.S. tax preparation software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Preferred Qualifications
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification is preferred.
• Experience working with U.S. tax compliance or tax consulting firms.
• Familiarity with tax law updates and regulatory changes.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
