• Treatment Implementation: Carrying out the treatment plan using specific therapeutic activities and modalities (like heat, cold, or electrical stimulation) to improve patient function.
• Clinical Monitoring & Reporting: Observing the patient’s response to therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with the OT to revise goals as the patient improves.
• Patient & Family Education: Teaching caregivers about a patient’s specific deficits and how to safely navigate their environment.
• Assistive Technology & Discharge: Helping patients select and use adaptive equipment (like reachers, shower chairs, or specialized utensils) and coordinating their transition to home or community programs.
• Supervision: Providing oversight for Therapy Technicians or aides to ensure safety and regulatory compliance during basic tasks.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
  degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
