QA techs verify accuracy of components to the original print using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment, hand tools, and GOM 3D laser scanners. Experience with CMM is required. Familiarity with PC-DMIS is preferred.
This position works in a controlled environment. Opportunity is on Day or Night shift. Night shift employees work primarily Monday through Thursday with a start time of 4:45 p.m. and receive a 25% shift premium on top of their base pay.
G.H. Tool & Mold is NOT a production shop. Each highly engineered tooling component is cut to precise measurements.
The QA Tech sits and stands most of the work day, and pushes and pulls heavy objects between carts and measuring equipment. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical. Assertiveness in communications, ability to identify critical tasks, and coping with stress and deadlines, are also key skills for this position.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year experience in die cast tool quality inspection, or in a related industry with CMM experience.
PC-DMIS proficiency preferred.
GOM 3D scanner experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and use manual gauge equipment.
Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
Computer proficiency.
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
