OMS Specialists, one of the Twin Cities' premier Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practices, is looking for an experienced Dental Billing & Insurance Specialist to join our growing Revenue Cycle team.

This isn't a basic billing position.

Our Financial Coordinators manage the entire revenue cycle—from claim submission and payment posting to insurance follow-up, patient accounts, pre-authorizations, financial arrangements, and helping our offices navigate complex insurance questions. What You'll Do

As one of our Financial Coordinators, you'll be responsible for all aspects of revenue cycle management, including:

• Managing both dental and medical insurance claims from submission through payment
• Investigating denied and outstanding claims
• Posting insurance and patient payments
• Monitoring aging reports and resolving outstanding balances
• Working directly with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
• Researching patient benefits and coverage
• Assisting offices with pre-authorizations
• Explaining insurance benefits and financial arrangements to patients with confidence and compassion
• Processing refunds and account adjustments
• Auditing accounts for accuracy before claims are submitted
• Serving as a billing and insurance resource for our front office teams
• Helping ensure our revenue cycle runs smoothly and efficiently

Every day is different, and you'll have the opportunity to use both your analytical and customer service skills.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

✔ Has 2+ years of dental and/or medical billing experience (required)

✔ Understands insurance claims, EOBs, denials, and revenue cycle management

✔ Enjoys solving billing challenges and digging into difficult accounts

✔ Is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment

✔ Can prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional accuracy

✔ Has excellent communication skills and enjoys helping both patients and coworkers

✔ Is proactive, dependable, and takes ownership of their work

✔ Enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative team

Oral Surgery experience is a plus—but we're happy to train the right experienced biller!
