Training Specialist (Contract)

Summary:
This is a unique and impactful opportunity for a creative, strategic, and mission-driven professional to lead content-focused skilling initiatives centered on AI adoption and responsible technology use. The ideal candidate is a builder and advisor who thrives at the intersection of instructional design, video production, and organizational consulting. This role calls for someone who can develop compelling, high-quality learning content and deliver engaging training experiences while guiding nonprofit and intergovernmental organizations through the complexities of AI adoption, change management, and governance. Deep familiarity with the nonprofit sector is essential, as is strong expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, agents, and Copilot Studio. This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel of less than five percent of the time for on-site meetings or workshops, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in how mission-driven organizations harness the power of AI.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and own high-quality skilling content including courses, workshops, facilitator guides, job aids, templates, and reusable assets that help diverse audiences adopt Microsoft 365 Copilot, understand agent scenarios, and build practical skills in Copilot Studio
Produce engaging instructional video content from concept and scripting through recording, editing, and publishing, including tutorials, demos, microlearning, and on-demand learning series that scale skilling reach across partners and clients
Lead the design and delivery of skilling strategies, workshops, and learning pathways centered on Microsoft 365 Copilot, agents, and Copilot Studio
Advise partners and clients on responsible AI adoption, including change management strategies, AI policy development, and governance frameworks that help organizations deploy Copilot and agents safely, ethically, and sustainably
Bring deep nonprofit expertise to every engagement by tailoring content, examples, and guidance to the realities of nonprofit operations, funding constraints, capacity limits, and mission-focused outcomes
Incorporate complementary Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics, Security, Fabric, and Purview into skilling plans when they strengthen the overall learning journey and customer outcomes
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders including NGOs, nonprofits, skilling partners, and global organizations to assess learning needs and deliver impactful, content-rich skilling programs
Train and enable skilling partners through a train-the-trainer model, equipping them with ready-to-use content and video assets to extend reach, scale delivery, and maintain quality
Support cohorts of nonprofits as part of the Changemaker program, helping participants build skills, navigate change, adopt new tools responsibly, and apply learning to mission-focused outcomes
Track learner engagement, content performance, feedback, and outcomes to continuously improve offerings and increase adoption
Stay current with Microsoft 365 Copilot, agent, and Copilot Studio advancements as well as the evolving landscape of AI policy and governance, and integrate relevant new capabilities and best practices into learning content
Support strategic in-person events that advance skilling, customer engagement, and community building
Requirements:
Direct experience working within or alongside nonprofit or public sector organizations
Hands-on experience with video production tools and learning content platforms such as learning management systems and authoring tools
Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to skilling or enablement programs at scale
Background in consulting or advisory roles focused on technology adoption, change management, or organizational development
Microsoft certifications or applied skills in Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure, Power Platform, and/or Security are a plus
Proven expertise in content development and instructional design, including building courses, curricula, facilitator materials, and scalable learning assets for multiple audiences and delivery models
Demonstrated ability to create instructional video content including scripting, recording, and editing, with a portfolio or examples of published learning content
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, agent use cases, and Copilot Studio for productivity, automation, and modern work scenarios
Experience advising organizations on change management, AI policy, and governance to support responsible and scalable technology adoption
Deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector including how nonprofits operate, fund programs, manage capacity, and measure mission impact
Experience designing and delivering training for both technical and non-technical audiences
Working knowledge of related Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics, Security, Fabric, or Purview
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Fluency in English required; proficiency in French and/or German is a plus
Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and organizational change methodologies
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices

Pay Range*: $48.50 - $55 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
