We are looking to fill positions in Head Start.

Columbus, Indiana

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-3:30 pm or 7:45 am-3:45 pm.

This position has time off in the summer months.

Pay scale based on education as follows:

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field - $23.17 per hour
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field - $25.23 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Create a warm, engaging classroom where preschoolers learn through play and exploration.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily routines that nurture each child’s unique needs.
• Provide responsive care and guidance to children, modeling positive social and emotional behaviors.
• Partner with families through home visits, conferences, and goal setting to support children’s success.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment.
• Complete assessments, reports, and documentation to support program quality and compliance.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands (active play, lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Previous teaching or teacher’s assistant experience in a preschool setting.
