The Mission of Porters Neck Village (formerly known as Plantation Village) is to be a welcoming village for a stimulating and secure life with superior services.
When we built our nonprofit retirement community over 30 years ago, we set out to give people a lifestyle where they could feel secure in the future while keeping their zest for life.
We started with an idyllic setting – 56 acres close to area beaches and downtown of Wilmington, NC, yet removed from the bustle of traffic. Our community is a place where residents can be as active as they like, or choose to enjoy the serenity of tree-lined lanes, walking trails and tranquil water features.
Of course, this is more than just a beautiful place to live. We serve residents with a high level of hospitality, and offer a wide range of services and amenities to make life more fulfilling and convenient. Best of all, residents are protected by priority access to a continuum of long-term care, available next door at The Davis Community. And our Hardship Policy means residents will have a home for life with us, even if they outlive their resources. This makes us a Life Plan Community, the first of its kind in Wilmington.
