If you accept a job here expect to be talked down to every day in addition to getting paid very low! You will not earn anything near the market rate for your position. Their strategy is to start low and "encourage" you to take on extra duties outside of your job title with hopes of a raise.
That works for people right out of college, not with 10+years of experience in the corporate world.
As previous reviewers mentioned, the senior executives love to mircromanage, but I could tell they had no clue what they were doing themselves.
Every day there is an "urgent" matter to take care of.
So many things fall through the cracks and they throw it on your plate once it reaches code red and expect an immediate resolution.
Many of these things involve sensitive information that should be taken care of by senior executives, but they refuse to communicate with clients and vendors because they have heavy accents.
If you speak and write English well, they will use you to communicate *everything* on their behalf.
They even had the audacity to ask an employee to take their car to get serviced.
You WILL be asked to do numerous tasks outside of your assigned job duty. When you refuse, they will threaten to fire you!
When it comes to working on proposals they have no real strategy there.
No research is done and it's always a last minute rush job.
Somehow they are shocked when they don't win contracts, and other companies refuse to work with them.
If for some reason you accept a position here, do not expect any initial training period for your new role. They will throw you into the fire with no clear direction. You're expected to just figure it out. Oh and when you get it wrong, you will be berated and called incompetent.
On your first day, you will be lucky if they actually take time to clean off your desk and offer office supplies!
Benefits are offered but they suck. Highest medical deductible ever! The 401K plan is not fully implemented but they continue to deduct money from employees.
Besides that, you are expected to work extra hours without extra pay! Last time I checked, working more than 40 hours a week (including weekends) without overtime pay is illegal.
Believe me, it's just not a pleasant environment to work in. You are not allowed to have an opinion and the senior executives talk down to you like you're a peasant.
They act like it hurts to say hello or crack a smile. Good morning is typically a common courtesy/greeting in most places. Not here.
They also use other employees to keep an eye on you. There's no reason to have 2 employees in every office when there's unused office space upstairs.
*Everything* you do will be questioned as if this is your first time completing standard tasks.
The turnover at this place is extremely high. I only worked there a few months and at least 6 people left. That's astonishing for a small business with only around 12 people working in the office.
Most employees do not last more than 4-6 months.
I'm sure they will read this review and somehow still believe the employees are the problem.
And THAT's the problem.
