Thank you for leaving your feedback. We are proud of our product and the upgrades and enhancements we’ve made to it over the past year. I’m sorry to hear you feel the environment has changed for the worse. Occasionally a client implementation or project comes along that requires team members to work on weekends or after hours. We do try to spread these opportunities out so that no one individual is asked to consistently work after hours or on their weekends. Time away from work is important to rest and recharge, which is why all team members should feel free to request vacation as needed and talk about heavy work schedules with their Lead. I am sorry that you also did not feel comfortable bringing your concerns to the Culture & People team. I encourage all team members to reach out to our COO or me, Julia Lang, Director of Culture & People, at Julia.lang@aptify.com if you feel your concerns are not being addressed by the team leaders or the Culture & People team in your region. Thanks again for your review.

Company is imploding

Pros

People are finally snapping out of the bubble and finding better places to work at instead of stay at Aptify

Cons

Culture change occurred early 2016. This just brought down the spirit of the team and demotivated even the most hard working team members. Worst part is the politics. Managers and HR both play so many games its more like a reality show. Some managers go to the extent of posing threats to fire us. When raised as a concern this was completely manipulated by HR.

Pros

CEO is brilliant! Extremely great product. The only good thing about this company is the CEO

Cons

Long interview process due to managers being unorganized & over worked, not because they are trying to ensure it is a good fit. Not a team environment. A lot of drama & putting words in one's mouth. The work environment is extremely similar to a high school setting. There is a lot of favoritism between individual employees and management/executive team. Multiple areas within the organization are still managed as a startup. 80% of the Executive team members are not professional.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and share your views. While I am flattered by your comments about me, the best measure of a CEO or any other leader is their team. Given your views of the overall organization, I cannot accept the praise you've provided as it is clearly not a reflection of your views of our company as a whole. On that note, here are some thoughts in regards to the specifics you've provided: 1) Regarding the hiring process - yes, we realize it is seen as a lengthy process. I do agree that from what I've seen in our internal process reviews, we have been less than effective in driving this process fluidly and that has caused many candidates to feel stress. This is not the goal. We DO intend to have the process go through many steps to ensure the best cultural fit and alignment of abilities/roles. But your point is well taken that if the length of the process is due to disorganization or other similar factors, that is a big negative. Point taken and know that we are working actively to improve this. On the overall length, however, we do intend to maintain a rigorous process which will mean our timeline is a bit longer than most, and that is something we believe is appropriate for finding the best fit. 2) The way we evaluate executive team members and senior management is the same way we evaluate everyone - by comparing their outcomes and values alignment with their Scorecards. The idea is that we have an objective and measurable set of outcomes for every single team member clearly defined and we measure if people are attaining those outcomes or not. Along with that, the Scorecard measures how well someone is living by our Core Values: Flexible, Accountable, Innovative and Responsive (F.A.I.R.). While this process is by no means perfect and something we are working to improve continuously, we have made transitions and changes at every level of the organization based on these objective criteria. I appreciate your kind words about me, and I would like to make a request to you - your review, while detailed enough for me to provide some limited feedback above - is still quite high level. If you can take the time to share with me some of your more specific thoughts on how we can improve, it would be greatly appreciated. My email is amith.nagarajan@aptify.com or you can always reach me on my mobile at +1-202-368-0533. Thanks again for taking the time to post your thoughts here.
