Ultimately, I realized that financial planning as a profession wasn't the right long term fit for me, which was a personal career decision rather than a reflection of the company or team. Like many roles in wealth management, the work can be detail-oriented and demanding, so it's important to have a genuine interest in financial planning and the subject matter to thrive. It is a fast paced environment and can be high stress but DEW allowed me to feel comfortable to come forward about how I was feeling regarding the role.
