Pros

Pay is decent, Great benefits

Cons

Management and workplace culture are the biggest concerns. The warehouse manager frequently spoke negatively about his own supervisor, even stating that the supervisor only held the position because of family tenure within the company. At the same time, the inventory supervisor consistently conveyed one message to management and a completely different one to the inventory team about how inventory operations should be managed. If you value process compliance, accountability, and accurate reporting, I would not recommend working at the CDC warehouse. Many operational issues were expected to be corrected by the inventory team before being reported systemically, which would create a misleading picture of overall performance and contribute to inaccurate reporting to executive-level and global teams, so they won't have to deal with the bigger issue at hand. The role itself consists largely of investigating and correcting mistakes made by the lift drivers in the warehouse. While it can provide valuable experience and insight into warehouse operations, it serves as a strong example of what ineffective inventory management and leadership can look like. The experience is a useful learning opportunity for an entry-level person before pursuing roles at organizations that place greater emphasis on process integrity and operational excellence.
