Pros

Passionate Team: The team at Grüns is highly motivated and genuinely passionate about what we're doing. It’s inspiring to work alongside people who are so intelligent, driven, and skillful in their focus areas. Innovative Product: Grüns is tackling a real problem with comprehensive gummy nutrition, and it’s exciting to be part of a company that is making a difference with such thoughtfully formulated and high-quality products. Opportunities for Growth: Being a startup, there is no shortage of opportunities to take on new responsibilities and make an impact. Gruns' culture encourages both bias for action and open/frequent feedback, which means learning and growth happens quickly here - exactly what I wanted at this stage of my career! Supportive Leadership: Every leader that I've worked with is approachable and supportive, making it easier to share ideas and receive guidance. Leaders (and the entire team for that matter!) operate without a shred of ego - it feels great to know that I can ask any question or make a suggestion and it will be valued as much as anyone else's.

Cons

TL;DR: This is a startup with big goals and an incredible product. There's a lot to do and even more to learn. If you're interested in that type of environment, my evaluation is that the pros of joining this team outweigh these cons by plenty! Fast-Paced Environment: The startup pace can feel overwhelming at times, especially when balancing multiple priorities. Work-Life Balance: Due to the dynamic nature of the startup, maintaining a good work-life balance can be a challenge at times. Thankfully, take-what-you-need PTO plus generous benefits means that I am typically the perpetrator of my lack of work/life balance - not my leaders or the team culture! It's hard to maintain when you genuinely care so much about what we're building here.

Pros

Some of the most talented and smart people I've ever gotten to work with. Constantly challenged in a supportive way that has accelerated my development in a way not a lot of places could enable. People here are genuine and truly care for each other.

Cons

Some peak periods of work, but supported by respect for time off.

Pros

I’ve genuinely loved working at Grüns so far. In ~3 months, I’ve learned and grown more than I did in roles where I spent 1–2 years - which is kind of wild to say, but very real. The pace is fast, but in the best way. You get real ownership, real exposure, and you’re constantly pushed to level up. Also, Grüns actually means it when it talks about culture and values. It’s not fluff - it shows up in how people work, communicate, and support each other every day. And the cherry on top is that the people are the best of the best - Everyone here is sharp, driven, and just really good humans. Makes a huge difference.

Cons

The level of ownership you get from day one is amazing, but it can also be a bit of a double-edged sword early on. Coming in, I definitely felt some pressure to prove myself and take on as much as possible, which sometimes led to scope creep and fear of pushing back / asking questions. Part of that is a personal learning curve-figuring out how to prioritize, set boundaries, and ask for clarity-but I do think new hires may need to be intentional about speaking up and aligning on expectations early. If anything, I’ve learned that asking questions and pushing for clarity only makes you more effective here.
